About Miranda Energy Park
12 Ha of biodiversity, self-sufficiency, food forests, fruit & vege crops, water retention strategies, compost systems, log cabins, mass plantings of trees, and it is all powered by the sun in real time: off-grid. Electricity comes from solar panels and wind turbines, water comes from springs, space heating comes from firewood, and all property waste is processed on site.
Featured biodiversity story
Khaki Campbell ducklings
Ducks add huge biodiversity to a property. These Khaki Campbell ducklings were born and raised to adults on the property. They are kept inside the food forest where they wander free range all day over a large area, cleaning up all the slugs and snails, grazing on the grass & insects, and playing in the water - and they leave valuable deposits everywhere!

Planting micro-forests
These two images show a before and after comparison of a micro-forest and windbreak with about 1-year growth difference. The trees were planted in July 2023 and were sponsored by Shona-M.
Would you like to sponsor your own micro-forest? If so you will get a free tour.
